There are no pretty faces around Annie Wahl’s studio. From being mostly self taught, Annie has been making character dolls with a very distinctive look for over twenty years. There is a conservative theme mostly though out her work. Simple characters that just celebrate the ordinary. The most enjoyable part of this doll making for her is having the little faces just pop out of the clay telling her their own story even before the piece is complete. Over the years she has met a lot of wonderful people both though the clay and in real life on this journey of making Character dolls.
